Nomad Mk I is a small form factor (SFF) custom “scratch-build” computer case. It is designed from the ground up to allow for proper cooling and power support for an i7 920 processor and 2 x high-end, full size, graphic cards.

The genesis of Nomad Mk I can be found here at bit-tech.net. At that time, I was contemplating the modification of a few smaller cases like the Lian-li V351 or the Qmicra. When I discovered that neither case would meet my needs, I decided that a completely custom case would have to be made, from scratch.

The thought filled me with dread.

How could I, a complete novice to the custom computer world possibly hope to bring this design to completion? In the end, the computer community itself urged me forward, not only convincing me that I could do it, but that I had a novel idea. With that in mind, it was time to get all my materials ready and get to work.
